Learning new things
Lifelong Development
Lifelong Development has become everyone's motto. Summa provides customized solutions tailored to the learning and development needs of alumni (former students), employees, job seekers, and (participating) companies. This allows talent to continue to grow. This allows companies to continue to grow. And all talent can participate.
Not so long ago, you went to school, earned a degree, started working, and retired after 40 years. That linear career path is definitely a thing of the past. Significant social and technological developments mean you constantly need new knowledge and skills to remain sustainably employable in the job market and participate in society. So, you continue to learn new things throughout your life. In other words: Lifelong Learning (LLE).
We believe in lifelong development for everyone. As the largest vocational education institution in our region, we also have a special responsibility: 40% of our workforce has a vocational background. Another 20% has a lower level of education. A large proportion of these people need us to become or remain sustainably employable in the labor market and to participate in society.
An important strategic pillar
To realize our future dreams and to reach our higher and bolder goal, it is important that we bring focus to our activities. In our strategic ambitions We've formulated five pillars. Lifelong development is a key priority for us. You can read how we put this into practice in the various articles below.
