Carrying bags of plaster and pulling on walls is free fitness
Martin van Dooren
I'm good with my hands. If I see it once, I can recreate it. But once I get my diploma, it'll still take a few years before I'm a good plasterer. It just takes a few years. This program provides a good foundation. We have a really great teacher. He explains everything very clearly and demonstrates it. My classmates are fun, we're good friends, and we laugh a lot.
If you want to pursue this profession, you need perseverance, good hands, and the ability to handle heavy work. Lugging bags of plaster and pulling on walls is just free exercise. If you're torn between sports and construction, you should go into plastering.
You learn every day. Sometimes you encounter problems, but afterward you think: I solved it beautifully. It's nice to hear when customers are satisfied. That appreciation, that's wonderful.
Tip for prospective students who want to do this: you just have to keep working hard. Step on the gas.
