VeVa commercial vehicle technician: fun facts

Fun facts about the VeVa Commercial Vehicle Technician training and working in the military.

• In defense it is enough to repair: hundreds of tracked vehicles, 2400 trucks, 150 airmobiles and quads, 115 motorcycles and much more.
• In a year about 8000 tree trunks moved, physical training is part of it
• You go a lot of colleagues receive after your Summa training: more than 55.000 people work in the Ministry of Defence.
• There are about 3000 VeVa studentsApproximately 350 people pursue the commercial vehicle technician course.
• Do you already have a favorite sport? You get 8 hours of sports lessons weekly.
• During the training there will be 12.000 boxes camouflage makeup throughout
• You will receive one personal NS Business Card which you can use to travel to and from the place where you follow the vocational training.
• Practice wears out materials: 4000 boxes per year!
• Many former VeVa students now work as soldiers, corporals and non-commissioned officers at the commandos, marines and the airmobile brigade.
• Currently there are alumni on air in Afghanistan and Mali.
• Since 2017, this program has had its own classroom building at the barracks in Oirschot. Starting next school year, we will also have a own obstacle course.
• It is a very varied training: tinkering with special (army) vehicles, playing sports, military lessons. You won't be bored!
