Whitney got help from student Lisa

A Social Work student who helps you with your problems and even prevents you from needing a referral to a psychologist. This is what happened to Eindhoven's Whitney after she was paired with Summa student Lisa van Gulik.

24-year-old Lisa found Whitney through Summa in Neighborhood Home Visits. This is a project run by Summa College's internship company, which provides students with practical experience by connecting them with Eindhoven residents who have requested assistance from the WijEindhoven welfare organization.

23-year-old Whitney did the same. A few years ago, she moved from Aruba to the Netherlands to study, but things didn't quite go as planned. She quickly switched programs and struggled to build a social life. "I don't have much family in the Netherlands, and then the coronavirus crisis hit," she says.
