Do you want to become an indispensable member of the orthodontic practice? This program will provide you with the knowledge and practical skills to independently guide patients through their treatment process. From recognizing orthodontic abnormalities to fitting treatment appliances and providing clear information: everything is seamlessly integrated into the practice. You'll learn to work with diagnostic data and enhance your communication skills.

This program focuses on the practical skills that an assistant can perform during an orthodontic treatment. Within the program, we work according to the Skillslab methodology, in which students learn practical skills step by step, demonstrate them, and then practice them themselves within the safe learning environment of the school.

The various orthodontic procedures are practiced on dental training models. In this way, students have the opportunity to repeatedly practice the skills and prepare for applying them in practice.

The training follows step-by-step the trajectory that a patient with an orthodontic need goes through in practice:

• Recognizing orthodontic abnormalities
• Collecting diagnostic data
• Guiding and managing the patient's complete treatment process
• Installation of various types of treatment equipment
• Providing instruction and information

Each phase aligns with daily practice, allowing you as an assistant to gain immediately applicable knowledge to optimally support patients during their orthodontic treatment.

By taking this course, you will expand your theoretical knowledge and practical skills to independently perform tasks within orthodontic treatments.

After completing this training, you will be fully prepared as an orthodontic assistant to contribute independently in a professional orthodontic practice. You will learn the basics of anatomy, diagnostics, and data collection such as X-rays and oral photography, which will help you support the orthodontist in drawing up treatment plans.
In addition, you will gain hands-on experience placing and adjusting appliances such as brackets, aligners, and retainers. You will acquire knowledge of materials, hygiene protocols, and treatment costs, which contributes to efficient practice management. You will also develop communication skills to properly inform patients about their treatment and aftercare.
