Mechatronics Service and Maintenance Technician (BBL)

Become a mechatronics expert and keep the industry running

As a Mechatronics Service and Maintenance Technician, you resolve complex malfunctions in smart machines and ensure that factories, robots, and production lines keep running.

You are an indispensable link in modern industry. You combine mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and control engineering and are the point of contact for your colleagues.

In practice, you are the expert who keeps machines and installations in top condition. Modern production companies operate largely automatically. If a machine breaks down, you look for the cause. With specialized measuring equipment and your technical insight, you quickly track down malfunctions. No two workdays are the same, and you need both your hands and your head.

You will learn this

Mechanics and construction. You learn how mechanical components, motors, gears, and shafts fit together, and how to assemble and adjust them.

Electrical engineering and electronics. You will learn to work with circuits, sensors, actuators, and read electrical schematics.

Control Engineering (PLC). The heart of mechatronics. You learn how to write and modify programs to make machines work together automatically.

Diagnostics and fault analysis. You develop a methodical approach to resolve malfunctions quickly and in a structured manner, regardless of whether the problem is mechanical, electrical, or software-related.

Safety and quality. In the technical field, safety always comes first. You will learn to work according to strict standards and protocols, so that you and your colleagues can continue working safely.

You will receive lessons in the modern environment of Brainport Industries Campus.
