Technical specialist vehicles

Your future in automotive technology

Do you have a level 3 MBO (intermediate vocational education) diploma in automotive engineering and want to further develop your technical skills? Then take this course. In two years, diagnosing will be your specialty.

(Electronic) developments in cars are moving at breakneck speed, but you'll keep up. In this program, you'll learn to work with advanced digital test equipment, computer-controlled systems, and the latest technologies. As a specialist, you'll exchange technical information with external specialists and suppliers. Your expertise will help your colleagues move forward.

You will learn this

You work 4 days a week and you go to school 1 day a week.

During the day at school, you'll primarily focus on measuring and diagnosing, calibrating, and learning. The multimeter, test cabinet, and scope will be your most frequently used tools. At school, you'll have 50 percent theory and 50 percent practical training. This allows you to immediately apply what you learn.

During your studies, you choose one or more electives (also called elective courses) to specialize or to broaden your education. Examples include entrepreneurship, leadership, programming, or a language. During your studies, you will receive more information about the electives you can take. You complete each elective with an exam. Read more about electives.
