Other educational supplies for personal use
Basic school equipment
Summa Safety's training courses consist largely of practical lessons. Summa provides the basic equipment (clothing and supplies) you need to take these courses.
Educational supplies you must have
In the safety industry, you must be equipped with the appropriate workwear and shoes. Summa determines the specifications (e.g., black jeans, a mouthguard, or indoor shoes), but you can choose where you purchase your educational supplies. You can read more about the clothing and items below.
Voluntary purchase of educational supplies
It's helpful to have some of these clothing and items at home, so you can practice your skills both at home and at the internship. In collaboration with our suppliers, we've put together a package for the necessary clothing and items, and any additional items you might need. If you'd like to take advantage of this, you can participate in a fitting day. We'll invite you to this before the start of the program. If you already own certain clothing and items, you don't need to purchase them again.
You'll find exactly which package you need in your learning materials list on mbowebshop.nl. You'll receive an email about this in June. You can also find them here:

- Clothing and articles Enforcement supervision and safety (HTV)

Sports medical research at VeVa training courses
Admission to VeVa programs requires a sports medical examination, which verifies that you can comfortably meet the athletic requirements of the program. You must schedule and pay for the sports medical examination yourself. We will inform you about this after you have been accepted into the program. You can also find more information at VeVa.nl from DefenceYour health insurance may cover (part of) the costs if you have additional insurance for sports medical examinations.
Additional activities and facilities
In addition to the costs of the equipment and supplies mentioned, additional activities and facilities may be offered, such as company visits and excursions. These activities and facilities offer added value, but are voluntary and not required for attending the program and obtaining a diploma.
Worried about school costs?
If you are financially unable to pay the school fees, you can get help from the MBO Student Fund and/or the Tuition Fee Foundation.
