Your role

Summa Zorg en Welzijn is looking for colleagues to guide our Healthcare Assistant and Nursing students in their development into the healthcare workers of the future.

Drawing on your knowledge and experience in the field, you guide students in learning the subject in an engaging and natural way. You create a safe, enjoyable, and stimulating environment. You know how to encourage and motivate students in such a way that they undergo personal and professional development.

We are looking for several colleagues; the minimum working time is 0,7 FTE. We are seeking colleagues who are versatile and can be deployed within healthcare training programs.

As a teacher at Summa Zorg en Welzijn, you work with a broad and diverse target group: from full-time students (BOL) to working students (BBL) and professionals who wish to upskill or reskill through Lifelong Learning (LLO). This variety requires flexibility, didactic creativity, and the ability to cater to different learning needs, levels, and learning contexts.
For the Bol Nursing team, specific experience in mental healthcare (GGz) or disability healthcare (VGZ) is a welcome addition.

Your duties:

  • You provide and develop education for various target groups (BOL, BBL, and LLO).
  • You tailor your teaching methods to the diverse learning needs and practical experience of students and course participants.
  • You coach students in their personal and professional development and, to do so, also visit the student in their practice.
  • You develop and update teaching materials suitable for various learning pathways.
  • You compile tests and exams, administer them, and grade them.
  • You monitor progress and maintain contact with the professional field.
  • You make an active contribution to customized pathways and educational innovation.

You are assigned to one core team but are deployed flexibly within the various study programs and target groups.

As a teacher, you work with:

  • BOL Nursing students (level 4)
  • BOL and BBL students Healthcare Assistant (level 3)
  • and participants within the LLO program, where you provide education for employed professionals and career changers.

  • You have a passion for secondary vocational education and for working with diverse target groups.
  • You are didactically flexible and can switch between BOL, BBL, and LLO.
  • You have completed a teacher training program or are willing to obtain one.
  • You preferably have experience in healthcare (e.g. mental healthcare/intellectual disability care).
  • You can work independently as well as in a team.
  • You are constructively critical and focused on quality and development.
  • You are able to provide customized support and cater to different learning styles and backgrounds.
