The Sports and Exercise Leader program is a two-year Level 3 program in which practical learning is central. Students learn not only at school but also in professional practice. The program offers students the time and space to develop at a pace that suits them. Additionally, in Year 2, we specifically prepare students for progression to Level 4 or the professional field.
Your impact as a Physical Education teacher
As a lecturer within the Sports and Movement Leader program, you play an important role in the development of students who learn in and from practice. You help them grow not only in athletic and didactic skills, but also in professional attitude, self-confidence, and soft skills.
This is what you will do as a physical education teacher.
- You provide practical and theoretical lessons within the Sports and Exercise Leader training program.
- You guide students in developing sports skills, teaching skills, organizational skills, and their professional attitude.
- In your lessons, you align with a level 3 target group, using clear learning objectives, structure, and relatability.
- You encourage students in their personal and professional development and help them grow in independence and responsibility.
- You assess practical exams, partly in the evening hours.
- You visit students at their internship locations, among other things for supervision and examination.
- Mentorship is part of your responsibilities.

- Working in a practice-oriented program, where you guide students at school and during internships and see directly how they grow in the professional field;

- A salary in accordance with the MBO collective labour agreement, scale LB, between €3.713 and €5.495 gross per month based on full-time employment, commensurate with your experience and education;
- A year-end bonus of 8,33%, pension accrual via ABP, and a laptop and phone on loan;

This is what we expect from you
- You have completed an ALO program with a teaching qualification and preferably have experience in secondary vocational education;
- You possess broad knowledge of sports disciplines and have an affinity with the level 3 target group;
- You provide practical, structured, and goal-oriented education and guide students in a motivating way through their learning process;
- You have an eye for subject matter, professional attitude, and soft skills, and are skilled in providing feedback;
- You are ICT-skilled, work well both collaboratively and independently, and are flexible (including evening exams) and possess a driver's license and car for internship visits and external exams.
