Your impact as Team Leader Tech Talent and Educational Innovation

As a team leader at Summa, you are at the heart of the development of technical education and the professionals of tomorrow. To provide direction to education that is connected to the professional field, we are seeking several team leaders for various technical disciplines such as Electrical & Installation Technology, Production Technology, Laboratory, and Construction. This involves managing passionate teachers and instructors who work every day to provide high-quality education.

The teams are evolving: not a bed of roses, but rather an environment where you can truly make an impact. You are stepping into a world that is constantly changing, and you will guide the teachers and instructors through this transformation. There is change in content, in education, and in strengthening the synergy between the various study programs.

Our students and trainees will soon make a difference in the energy transition, the built environment, and the high-tech industry. And you have a direct influence on that quality. We are not looking for a manager who monitors the system. We are looking for a leader who helps build.

You bring calm where there is friction, direction where things are unclear, and energy where it is needed. You coach professionals, make choices, and help your team become sustainably stronger. You guide your team through the transition and deploy employees based on their qualities and development potential, stimulate professional growth, and actively safeguard the quality of education. Together with fellow team leaders, you make a visible contribution to educational innovation and the ambitions of Summa 2030.

This is what you will do as Team Leader Tech Talent and Educational Innovation

  • Working with passionate technical (education) professionals;
  • Leading and coaching employees based on trust, ownership, and results;
  • Guiding the necessary changes in education so that it remains future-proof for students, course participants, and the professional field;
  • Act as a sparring partner for employees and fellow team leaders on substantive and organizational issues;
  • Connecting education, practice, and the labor market within the technology sector.

  • A salary in accordance with the MBO collective labour agreement, scale 12, a minimum of €4.817 and a maximum of €7.020 gross per month based on full-time employment;
  • Not a temporary position, but we do start with a fixed-term contract;
  • Year-end bonus of 8,33%, ABP pension fund, a laptop and telephone on loan;
  • Develop yourself through a study program, course, and/or the annual development festival.

  • Minimum higher professional education working and thinking level and an entrepreneurial mindset;
  • Demonstrable experience as a team leader in a technical sector or in (secondary) education;
  • You are sharp, engaged, and able to navigate a dynamic environment;
  • You can switch between strategic and operational levels within the organization;
  • You are a people-oriented leader with guts, organizationally sensitive, connecting, and capable of handling conflicting interests;
  • Experience with entrepreneurial leadership, preferably in a changing organization and/or with change processes.
