Crafted Festival makes the Klokgebouw buzz with MBO talent

Crafted in the Klokgebouw in Eindhoven

On Thursday, June 18, the Klokgebouw in Eindhoven will be entirely dedicated to creativity, craftsmanship, and new ideas during Crafted Festival. Throughout the day and evening, visitors can be surprised by fashion shows, live music, exhibitions, interactive installations, and technical projects by vocational students.

From fashion and interior design to technology, and from design to hospitality: throughout the building, students showcase what they have worked on over the past academic year. Not in a traditional exhibition, but at a festival where you can look around, experience, taste, listen, and meet.

What visitors often don't see: behind the scenes, Crafted runs largely on students. From technical aspects and production to logistics, communication, and hospitality. The festival is therefore not only organized for students, but primarily by students.

Versatility

Crafted offers a glimpse into just how versatile vocational education is today. Students showcase not only finished products but also the process behind them: brainstorming ideas, collaborating, testing, making, and presenting. It is precisely this combination that makes the festival special.

Crafted is also highly recommended for high school students. It offers an accessible way to discover study programs and professions up close. As a visitor, you step into the world of the makers, designers, technicians, artists, and entrepreneurs of tomorrow and hear directly from students themselves what it is like to study at Summa.

MBO Awards

The MBO Awards will also be presented during the evening. With these awards, Summa puts students in the spotlight who stand out through innovation, sustainability, social impact, and internationalization. Last year, winners included a clothing design for women undergoing chemotherapy and a natural dye garden as an alternative to chemical dyes.

Crafted in the Klokgebouw

Crafted is freely accessible to anyone curious about the makers of tomorrow: from students and parents to companies, partners, and other interested parties from the region.

Practical information: Thursday, June 18, 2026 / Klokgebouw at Strijp-S in Eindhoven. The festival is free to attend. You can find more information at Crafted Festival.
