You already work as a furniture maker/interior designer or are active in the furniture industry or (ship) interior construction. This program will further develop your professional knowledge and leadership skills.

At the start of the course, you choose the direction that suits you: furniture maker/(ship) interior builder or the carpentry industry.

You will learn this

In this program, you'll learn to successfully complete projects. You'll work on product development, leadership, and project management. You'll create working drawings and schedules, learn to manage inventory, schedule people, and monitor progress. In addition to vocational training, you'll also take Dutch, math, and citizenship courses.

The statutory tuition fee for the 2025-2026 school year is €735.

Summa training courses and teaching materials provided by Summa are exempt from VAT. Read more about training costs.

Additional costs

Please allow €550 for textbooks. You will also need a laptop.

Duration

The program lasts three years. You'll attend school one day a week, on Tuesday afternoons and evenings. You'll have seven hours of classes per week. You'll also need to plan for four hours of home study per week.

What can I become with this education?

With your diploma you can continue your studies at a higher professional education institution or specialize/broaden your knowledge.

Preliminary training

You can only take this course if you work for an accredited training company. If your employer isn't accredited, or if you're unsure whether it is, please contact us. We're happy to help.

You also have an MBO diploma at level 2 or 3.
