Secondary Education for Speakers of Other Languages (VOAT)

Are you from another country and don't speak Dutch well or at all? Are you between 15 and 18 years old? Then you can apply to Secondary Education for Speakers of Other Languages (hereinafter VOAT).

You can start any time of year. We'll first assess your language and math skills and how you learn. Then, you'll be placed in a group. You'll work at your own level and pace. You'll have a dedicated mentor to guide you with any questions.

Dutch will become your second language alongside your native language. We call this NT2 (Dutch as a Second Language). You'll have many Dutch lessons, as well as other subjects you'll need for further education or employment. We'll also make sure you're still learning the Dutch language. You'll also learn all about the Netherlands as a country.
