Your impact as a Marketing & Communications Specialist

As a Marketing & Communications Specialist, you ensure that Summa is visible, recognizable, and attractive to students, course participants, and collaboration partners. You connect the ambitions of the Summa schools with Marketing & Communications expertise and ensure that plans actually make an impact.

  • You strengthen the visibility and positioning of Summa by strategically deploying marketing and communication for the goals of the schools.
  • You make a difference for (prospective) students and other target groups. by developing communication that is relevant, recognizable, and effective.
  • Je helps Marketing & Communication become increasingly professional by working systematically, result-oriented, and data-driven.
  • You give important Summa moments extra impact by staging events professionally and connecting people inside and outside the organization.

This is what you will do as a Marketing & Communications Specialist

You translate annual marcom plans and current requests from Summa schools into concrete marketing and communication activities and tools. From advice and development to execution and evaluation: you ensure that plans are realized.

Is a:

  • Advises on the appropriate approach and translates questions into concrete activities and resources.
  • Collaborates with the M&C business partner and colleagues from the schools on the implementation of annual marcom plans.
  • Develops and coordinates marketing and communication tools and activities, such as campaigns, photography, and flyers.
  • Takes on projects independently and maintains an overview of planning, progress, and budget.
  • Collaborates with colleagues and external partners and ensures that projects are executed properly.
  • Evaluates results and uses data and feedback to continuously improve activities.

Your role at events

In addition, you organize and supervise a number of impactful Summa events, such as the opening of the school year and the end-of-year party. You contribute ideas regarding the concept and look, coordinate the execution and communication, and align activities with colleagues and external partners.

You monitor progress and quality, maintain an overview, and ensure that everything comes together at the right moment. Afterwards, you evaluate the approach and results so that future events become even stronger.

You work in a structured and results-oriented manner and contribute to the further development of Marketing & Communication as an increasingly data-driven service.

In short: you set marketing and communication plans in motion and ensure that important Summa events are executed professionally.

As a Marketing & Communications Specialist, you work within the Advice & Expertise Team, which, together with the Editorial & Digital Team, is part of the Marketing & Communications department. You work with 13 colleagues and report to the team leader.

You will join an enthusiastic and committed team where there is room for initiative, collaboration, and development. We work in a results-oriented manner, but consider a good atmosphere and enjoyment of work just as important.

  • A salary in accordance with the MBO collective labor agreement, scale 9, depending on education, experience, and expertise, of up to €4.948 gross per month based on full-time employment.
  • A fixed-term contract of one year, with the intention of renewal.
  • A year-end bonus of 8,33%, 30 vacation days per calendar year based on full-time employment, ABP pension fund, and a laptop and phone on loan.
  • The opportunity to develop yourself through training programs, courses, and the annual development festival.

You are an all-round marketing and communications professional who easily switches between different requests, target groups, and tasks. You combine strategic insight with a practical approach, enjoy collaborating, and are energized by achieving visible results. Additionally, you have an affinity for events and enjoy working for various Summa schools.

Is a:

  • You have demonstrable experience in marketing and communication and are versatile. Experience organizing events is a plus.
  • You can quickly grasp the question behind the question and translate it into an appropriate and effective approach.
  • You are a thinker and a doer: you advise, organize, and ensure that plans are actually executed.
  • You are good at organizing and prioritizing, maintain an overview of multiple projects, and know how to connect various interests.
  • Works in a results-oriented and data-driven manner, and uses feedback, data, and developments in the field to continuously improve your approach.
  • You are flexible, independent, and collaborative, and enjoy working with various colleagues and schools. You are willing to work occasionally outside regular working hours, for example for events and open days.
