We are looking for a team leader for our Enforcement, Supervision and Safety (HTV), Private Security Guard (PB), and Team, Department, and Project Leadership (LTAP) training programs.

Your impact as Safety Team Leader

  • You guide the further development of the educational offerings and translate societal and labor market developments into opportunities for the team and the study programs.
  • You lead the professionals who train future enforcement officers, security guards, and managers.
  • You strengthen collaboration between education and the security domain, from municipalities and security organizations to companies and other partners.

This is what you will do as a Safety Team Leader

  • You manage approximately 30 employees within the HTV, PB, and LTAP programs.
  • You are responsible for a good balance between educational development, team development, and daily educational organization.
  • You coach employees and encourage their professional development.
  • You focus on quality, collaboration, and results, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Together with the team, you contribute to the direction and ambitions of Summa Veiligheid and translate these into concrete goals and actions.
  • You initiate and facilitate new collaborations with companies, governments, and civil society organizations.
  • You maintain and strengthen relationships with partners within the security domain and build sustainable collaborations that contribute to the quality of education.
  • You identify trends and developments within the security domain and investigate how these can contribute to future-oriented education.
  • You are a sparring partner for the Director and contribute to the further development of Summa Veiligheid.

As Team Leader Safety, you work closely with fellow team leaders, teachers, instructors, and support staff. You report directly to the Director. From our new, inspiring location at Furkapas, we are building education that addresses the safety challenges of today and tomorrow.

  • A salary in accordance with scale 12 or 13 of the MBO collective labour agreement, between €4.817 and €7.600 gross per month based on a full-time appointment. Salary placement depends on knowledge and experience.
  • Employment of 0,8 to 1,0 FTE and hybrid working options.
  • A fixed-term contract that will be converted into permanent employment upon satisfactory performance and unchanged circumstances.
  • Year-end bonus of 8,33%, ABP pension fund, a laptop and phone on loan.
  • Develop yourself through training, a course or the annual development festival.

This is what we expect from you

  • HBO working and thinking level.
  • Several years of managerial experience.
  • Experience within the security domain, for example in law enforcement, security, the police, a security region, or a similar organization.
  • Experience in guiding and developing professionals and teams.
  • An entrepreneurial attitude and an eye for opportunities outside one's own organization.
  • The ability to switch between operational, tactical, and strategic issues.
  • Insight into societal, administrative, and political developments.
  • Affinity with educational development, quality improvement, and change processes.
  • Open, transparent, and decisive communication.
