All-round vehicle technician (First automotive technician) (bol)
More information.
What are you becoming?
As an All-round Vehicle Technician, you could work in a workshop focused on mobility, such as garages, importers, and leasing companies. With your diploma, you can also progress to a level 4 automotive technology program, for example, in a work-study program (BBL-VROM).
What does your education look like?
Challenge-based learning
You'll learn by working with your group members on challenging projects and challenges, such as Wheeler Dealer, the Hydrogen Challenge, drone competitions, chip tuning, and electrifying vehicles. You'll work according to a jointly developed schedule in the practical training hall, in one of the three experience labs, and occasionally in the theory classroom. It won't feel like school, but you'll learn a tremendous amount. This way, we offer meaningful learning days and you shape your own learning path.
Throughout your career at Summa, you will be guided by one study coach who knows you, teaches you, and guides you through your work or internship.
You'll attend school four days a week, and on the fifth day, you can do whatever you like. The practical training center will be open to you. Classes are always from 09.00:16.00 AM to XNUMX:XNUMX PM. You'll complete an internship in your first year. We'll work with you to find a suitable position in the dynamic world of mobility.
We offer customized solutions: there are always opportunities for students who want to accelerate or slow down their progress. In the first phase of your program, you'll work closely with the students in your group, and there's no distinction between All-round Vehicle Technician and Vehicle Technical Specialist. During these years, you'll discover your skills and desires. You can then obtain your All-round Vehicle Technician diploma (level 1) within one year or your Vehicle Technical Specialist diploma (level 3) within two years.
