As an administration & finance specialist, you'll be closely involved in financial administration. You'll track all financial obligations and ensure payments are made on time.

 

Large organizations often handle large sums of money. You'll keep a close eye on cash flows. A responsible job that requires careful navigation of financial figures.

As an administration & finance specialist you are involved in the accountancyFinancial administration. You track all financial obligations and ensure payments are made on time. Checking and collecting outstanding invoices and preparing overviews of the company's financial position are also part of your duties. Furthermore, you monitor whether the company is achieving its agreed-upon objectives through research and analysis.

At school, you'll learn everything about taxes, filing, and various types of administration. You'll put everything you learn into practice during your internship. After completing this program, you'll have a thorough understanding of financial matters. This is invaluable knowledge if you're looking to start your own business, regardless of the industry.

You'll work with specialized software for financial administration. As the company's financial specialist, colleagues will come to you for advice, and you'll regularly meet with your teammates. A quiet and introverted personality is a plus. During the training, you'll learn how to collaborate effectively with colleagues from other departments.

Get your diploma faster

You can take advantage of a customized acceleration program in both the first and third year. This makes it feasible to complete the program within a year and a half. We'll explain more during a personal consultation.

This course is a combination of the Business Administrator and Junior Assistant Accountant courses.

What are you becoming?

As an administration & finance specialist, you could work in the finance department of a company, administrative office, or government institution. You could also work at an accounting firm, administrative office, or insurance company. You can also pursue further studies with a higher professional education (HBO) degree, for example, in Accountancy, Business Economics, or Fiscal Economics.

What does your education look like?

You'll attend classes at school one day a week. You'll also work at least 1 hours a week at an accredited training company.

What prior education do you need?

For the vocational training (level 3) and middle management training (level 4) you must meet one of the following conditions:

  • You have a diploma in pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) with a pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) track, a theoretical pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) track, or a mixed pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) track.
  • You have an (older) diploma from lbo, vbo, mavo or mavo-vbo.
  • You have a basic vocational training diploma (level 2) or a diploma from another vocational training course (level 3).
  • You have proof that you successfully completed the first three years of pre-university or senior general secondary education (havo) or pre-university education (vwo). Or you have another diploma or certificate recognized by the government.

Additionally

You are 18 years old on August 1 of the year in which you start the course.

It is important that you have had subjects from the Economics sector in your package.

Work

During a personal interview or introductory meeting, we'll determine if this program is a good fit for you. To participate in this program, you must work at an accredited training company. If you don't work for such a company, we'll help you find a suitable work placement. You'll be responsible for finding one yourself.
